The summer programme of 2023 kicks off on Friday, 16th of June-
promising a great season of exhibitions
FULL CIRCLE – uachtarARTS Group Show
OCAP (Oughterard Courthouse Arts Programme) are delighted to present the uachtarARTS Group Show ‘FULL CIRCLE’ which is the first of four of the ‘Summer Festival of Exhibitions’ 2023 on show in the Courthouse Gallery, Main Street, Oughterard, County Galway.
The four exhibitions will showcase a total of 71 artists throughout the Summer Festival. The uachtarARTS Group has 26 artists showcasing their work, followed by two open call group exhibitions; TERRA FIRMA with 24 artists opens June 30th – July 9th. NATURAL SELECTION with 19 artists opens July 14th – 23rd and the final exhibition, THE FEELING OF PLACE featuring Galway artists Fiona Cawley and Hilary Morley opens July 28th – August 6th.
The uachtarARTS group have revelled in the return to their regular meetups in The Courthouse in Oughterard on Tuesday mornings. As a group they feel they have come “full circle” in reconnecting with each other through their meetups and workshops and are looking forward to sharing their Artworks and welcoming all the wonderful supporters and visitors who visit Oughterard for the OCAP Summer Arts Programme.
FULL CIRCLE will feature a diverse range of artworks showcasing the broad range of interests of our members to include Paint, Textiles, Print, Encaustic, Ceramics, Photography, Quilling and Drawing. The Exhibition will feature artists Anne-Mette Kelter. Barbara Dunne, Caroline McFadden. Colette Nic Aodha, Deirdre McAvinchey, Deirdre Stephens, Diana Van de Kamp, Geraldine Folan, Gil Cusack, Grainne MacManus, Helen Caird, Isabelle Gaborit, Jess Walsh, Kathleen Furey, Kathleen Hinde, Mary Byrne, Maureen Mooney, Maria Hutton, Mimi Sazali, Olga Magliocco, Patrica McQuinn, Philippa Maguire, Rebecca Philbin, Renske Boef, Shona Butler Walsh and Susanne Keane.
FULL CIRCLE will be launched by Sharon O’Grady, Galway County Arts Officer at a reception on Friday 16th June from 7-9 p.m. in the Oughterard Courthouse Gallery. The exhibition will continue to Sunday 25th June, and will be open Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 pm. & Sundays 12 – 5 pm.
