Oughterard Courthouse Gallery Space is proud to present its next exhibition this coming weekend , a group exhibition entitled “When the Earth Exhales ”. This exhibition features new works by 6 Degrees West – a collective of 8 artists that met over 20 years ago in Atlantic Technological University (formally GMIT).

“When the Earth Exhales” was inspired when storm Éowyn hit Ireland in
January 2025. That January night, the power and unbending resoluteness of
Éowyn changed the Irish landscape forever. In this exhibition 6 Degrees West
capture the devastation left behind, the upended landscape and beauty of the
new world of Éowyn’s sculptural creations.

“When the Earth Exhales” is inspired by storm Éowyn
6 Degrees West capture the devastation left behind, the upended landscape and beauty of the new world of Éowyn’s sculptural creations. The artists unique and individual styles come together in genres that range from realistic, interpreted exaggeration of reality and the re-imagined new world created by Éowyn.
“When the Earth Exhales “ exhibition will officially open on Friday 2nd May at 7pm, opening hours Saturday 3rd to Monday 5th 10 am to 5pm.
